The Brief

Agency was approached to partner with Skysat Nigeria on the project design and to mobilise participants to attend the 2-day Exhibition held at the Syrian Club in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Strategy

Agency conducted a project recce in different parts of Lagos to identify key printing hubs and businesses and individuals with heavy printing need.

Agency went ahead to create a route plan and recruited 20 canvassers, who visited print shops, offices and individuals in 2 days, to educate people about the benefits of attending the exhibition. It also distributed printed fliers and delivered personalised invitation cards to certain categories of people.

Agency created coupons to collect data from invited guests, with a detached section which qualified attendees for a raffle draw to win Ipads at the event.

The Expo which was held in January, 2013, attracted 475 participants, representing major printing organizations and individual business owners in Lagos. Thus, 475 people attended the exhibition, out of the 823 contacts made by the mobilization team. There were 12 major printing organizations and over 200 small scale print shop owners in attendance. The exhibition also attracted representatives of trade associations, chambers of commerce and industry, government delegations and all major print media organizations in Nigeria.
